MNHS Save a Brave Students to be Featured in Upcoming PSA
The National Road Safety Foundation (NSRF) invited students in Manalapan High School’s Save a Brave club to appear in an upcoming public service announcement (PSA).
Alan Weiss Productions, a TV production company that works with the NRSF regularly, spent time at Manalapan High School on November 21st to film the piece. Save a Brave advisor Ronnie Clerico-Knittel said it was hard to select only four students to participate, but seniors Cody Wiener, Rocky Garretson, Ariel Kamen, and Mya Donnelly were ultimately selected to take part in the PSA. Manalapan Social Studies teacher Kathryn Jannetti and her daughter, Elise along with a family friend, Stevie, also participated in the filming.
The PSA focuses on distracted driving and showcases that it can happen to anyone, not just teenage drivers. Once complete, the PSA will be part of the NRSF’s library of material which is made available to High Schools, Driver’s Education schools, SADD Chapters, and any educational institution that requests it, free of charge. It will also be broadcast on Teen Kids News, a weekly news program which is syndicated to more than 150 TV stations across the country.
